The Great Soap Debate
I’ve realized a lot of soap packaging that’s jam packed with illustrations and text. Which makes me think is this look really appropriate for something like soap. I mean, soap is fresh, clean and the idea of having a package that is full of illustration and text is too overwhelming for something that is the definition of clean. Right?
Then again a lot of the overly design packaging is usually geared towards women since we like pretty, pretty flowers and script text with pastel pinks and purples. With men’s product usually having a dark background and in many cases the use of primary colors for the text.
I know this random babble of soap packaging might not make sense to some but it’s just been something I’ve noticed for a while and realized what I am attracted to naturally are the overly designed wrappers with the flowers and script font. Then again, I’m a girl.
