This year we decided to party it up on a 90ft. yacht sailing by the bay. Can anybody say sea sick? While some were feeling the motion of the ocean others were having a great time dancing to the oldies, looking at the view and enjoying a cocktail. Here are some snapshots of our night out on the town.

Mission/Objective:
Growing beard for brother-in-law’s wedding (as per groomsmen requirements).

Beard Deployment Date:
January 12, 2008 : 1500 hours (3 o’clock civilian time)

Westminster Report:
Kyle is performing his graphic design duties admirably despite the fact that he’s housing several small, woodland creatures on his face. We look forward to carpooling again and not appearing as if a random homeless person jumped in the car. When he decides to shave again, the revenue generated for Gilette will probably act as a economic stimulus and save them from the current financial crisis.

Ripped from the pages of In The Loop, the Westminster industry newsletter. Sign up for it here!

One of our most important tasks here at Westminster is to understand your needs, and then provide you with the best solutions. And when it comes to signage, we are the bomb! With the right design and the right solution, your signage can make a huge impact for you and your company. Lucky for you, we can do both.

To ensure that you get the best solution for what you need, the first thing you need to ask yourself is “What purpose is this sign going to serve?” This in turn will help us choose the best solution for your sign. In the signage world today, there are a billion options out there. Having so many options is nice, but it can also be confusing. So remember, we’re here to help!

We’ve listed below which materials are most commonly used, which ones work best for each use, and on which budget.

In addition to the different materials you can use, there are also a few different processes with which to make your sign. The two most common methods are cut vinyl and digital. Cut vinyl is a process in which a computer sends vector artwork to a plotter. The plotter then cuts the shapes out of a roll of vinyl from the artwork file. You then have to manually remove the excess vinyl, tape the surface, and apply it to the substrate of choice. It’s tiring just writing all of that, let alone doing it. That’s why this method is being replaced by the faster, and less labor intensive digital method. Producing signs digitally gives us more freedom with the design and layout, which inevitably allows you to have more of an impact on your audience. At Westminster, we have the capabilities of printing digitally on all of the items listed above, and more. The possibilities are endless. Who knew signage could be so exciting?! Oh wait…no, it’s not. That’s why you should let us do it.

The Cooler Weather is Upon Us.

Check out this custom blanket we did for Compaq’s Tech Connect Division. The group is comprised of 300 technical workers from around the world. They traveled once a year to a company-sponsored conference, usually every October in California. The charismatic director of this division was an expert at making his diverse group of users feel good about their contributions at every level.
We proposed this unique custom blanket and it was a hit with everyone. The logos were woven into the fabric for a true retail look. If you are interested in Westminster doing a similar project for you, please contact your Westminster sales representative.

The Chamber of Commerce takes a lot of pride in planning and organizing our annual Art & Wine Festival.  This year we invited Chamber members to submit their logo for our annual Art & Wine Festival.  We are pleased to select Westminster Promotions as our 2010 Art & Wine logo winner – their design captures the essence of our event – a cultural community celebration.
